Why only 5 years detailed of sales history?

What Association Logos should I upload?

These can be your local Real Estate Board or Association, you State or Provincial Association, your company logo - any three logos you would like to include on your Profile and on your proposals to clients.

These images look best if they are not really wide - upright rectangle shapes and squares work best, but you can experiment to get the look you like.

What size picture can I upload?

The digital image must be less than 3 MB - it looks best when it is a portrait - twice as tall as it is wide. You can change your photo until you find the one that looks best on the Agent Member Registry.

What is my “current status” - available or unavailable?

The normal state is “available”. You can set yourself to “unavailable” if you do not want to hear from any Agent Invitation clients for a short time. Any clients that look for you will be told that you are temporarily unavailable.

Payment to Buyer Agent

In any SELL proposal the starting assumption is that the Buyer Agents will be offered half of the total commission. You are able to change the offer to Buyer Agents as you think is appropriate.

Customary commission percentage

The client will have used a commission percentage in their Invitation. This may or may not be the most often used or “customary” commission percentage in your market area. If it is not the “customary” percentage then you can choose to use a different percentage in your proposal for comparison purposes.

Where are buyer rebate checks not allowed?

Some states do not allow buyer commission rebate checks. These are currently: Alabama, Alaska, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana ,Mississippi, Montana, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Oregon and Tennessee. Why do you ask for my license number?

We need to be able to confirm that you are a licensed agent. This is not a mandatory field, as we think that in some cases you may need to get back to us with your license number if you did not have it with you when you signed up. Clients should be able to see a full set of your credentials.

What does “Fields with * are mandatory” mean?

That means that the boxes with a * need to be filled in. When you press the “Sign up” button the system will not accept your information until you complete all of the areas marked with a *.

Why do I need to put in my email address twice?

How do I change my password?

You click the “Change password” option on “Edit my account”. You input your new password and re-enter it to confirm that you have keyed in exactly what you intended to key in. Then you press “Save” and you now have a new password!

How do I change my email address?

Ensuring Delivery of Email from Agent Invitation

Many email clients (Outlook, AOL, Hotmail, etc.) have spam blockers that can affect delivery and display of some email messages. This means that some of our email could be sent to your spam in error, or may be displayed without images.To make sure that you receive your email correctly we recommend adding Agent Invitation to your list of safe senders. Here are instructions for you to do that:

Gmail
· Open the email

· Click “More Options” in the email header.

· Click “Add Sender to Contact List”

MSN Hotmail
· Go to the “Options” page.
· On the left side of the page, click “Mail,” and then click “Junk Email Protection.”
· Click “Add Senders to Safe List.”
· Type “@agentinvitation.com,” and then click “Add.”

Yahoo! Mail
· Use the “Not Spam” button to report messages you want in your Inbox that were delivered to your Bulk folder.

Outlook 2003
You have several options to choose from:
· Go to “Actions” on your email menu bar. Select “Junk Email” from your pulldown menu. Select “Add Sender’s Domain to Safe Senders List.”
· Right-click in the message and select “Add the Domain to Safe Senders List”.
· Go to Tools on the menu bar. Select “Options” in the pull-down menu.

. Under “Preferences”, select “Junk Email”. Then click on the “Safe Sender” tab.

. Click the “Add” button. Type “@agentinvitation.com” in the text box.

Outlook Express
· Go to “Actions” on your email menu bar. Select “Junk Email” from your pulldown menu. Select “Add Sender’s Domain to Safe Senders List.”

· Go to your Address Book, click the “Add” button. Enter our email address (notifier@agentinvitation.com) under Internet Information.

Is Agent Invitation a real estate company?

No. We are purely an information source and a facility to help consumers create and distribute an invitation to real estate agents that they are interested in hearing from. When we receive agent replies, we post them for our client to review. With the clients’ permission, we release their contact information to any agent that they would like to meet. We do not provide any advice regarding an agent proposal. We do not buy or sell real estate and we do not ask for or receive any compensation from anyone in the real estate industry for any real estate transactions that may occur from an Agent Invitation.

Do you sell my contact information?

How do I do the paperwork to allow a buyer rebate, or for a commission arrangement that is different than a flat percentage?

Commission rates are negotiable in almost all cases. Your broker can help you with the paperwork required in your area to rebate a portion of your commission to your buyer or to accommodate a commission arrangement other than the traditional flat percentage in your agreement(s).

What if I meet the client and find out that the information I received in the Agent Invitation is not accurate in my view? (For example, what if the house is actually worth less that the client thinks it is, in my estimation, and the terms that I offered could not work and would not be fair to me?)

If you believe that some important information is incorrect or if the client changes their mind after sending the invitation, it is entirely reasonable for you to point this out to the client and adjust your proposal accordingly. Unless things are very different than in the invitation, the client might not think that it is fair of you to completely change the spirit of your offer—but it’s your decision.

Why don’t you tell me the client name on the Agent Invitation?

The Agent Invitation goes to you and up to two of your colleagues. One of the benefits of Agent Invitation for buyers and sellers is that they can carefully review and consider all proposals before contacting, or being contacted by, an agent.

I got an Agent Invitation and I am not a member. How does this work?

When a client gives us your email address to include you in their Agent Invitation, we email you a link where you can register to review the invitation. (After you register, you will simply need to log in each time.) After you have read the invitation, we provide a template to help you quickly and easily complete your response. We build your Agent Profile from information you input in the first response that you complete for future use. When you have created your response and are happy with it, you can post it for the client to review. You will be given the client contact information if they ask to meet with you. You take it from there.
